Exploratory Studies Course

LC103: Exploratory Studies

This 2-credit course is one of the highlights of the Exploratory Studies program. It is offered in the fall and spring semesters at Butler and is taught by an Exploratory Studies academic advisor. Though not required, it is strongly recommended that each Exploratory Studies student takes advantage of this opportunity.

What will you gain from taking this class?

  • Self-Discovery: Take assessments to learn about your strengths, values, interests, and more!
  • Major Exploration: Learn about the 85+ majors offered at Butler University through class observations, faculty panels, and interviews with professors.
  • Career Knowledge: Participate in job shadow, informational interview, and individual research opportunities to learn about the world of work and how to start preparing for it now!
  • Relationships: You will be supported by your instructor who also serves as an Exploratory Studies academic advisor, and you will be a part of a community of students who are also exploring their options.
