Voting Information

Historically, young adults have voted at lower rates than older cohorts. They are also the newest members of our democracy (many who have finally turned 18yrs old), they move more frequently, and are less likely to have a driver’s license – all of which are barriers to registering and voting.

Butler Dawgs have the potential to make a difference and help change these historical trends!

Let this website and its resources help you navigate these barriers and make a better future for our community by starting NOW. Whether that is through nonpartisan voter registration; intentional opportunities to learn about the issues and candidates on the ballot, receive accurate information on deadlines and processes for voting (in person on election day, absentee ballot, by-mail, or early!), DawgsVote wants to empower you, as Butler Bulldogs, to become life-long voters and active citizens.

Dawgs Vote - Register to Vote!

College students who are US Citizens have 2 choices:

  • Register to vote using your student address at Butler.
  • Register to vote using your permanent home address.

Some things to consider when deciding where to register:

  • Where do you spend most of your time and are part of the community you live?
  • Are there local issues or races that you care specifically about?
  • Which location will be easier logistically for you?
