Butler University provides personalized liberal and professional education to 4,400 undergraduate and 500 graduate students in its six colleges. The Innovation Lab located in the Lacy School of Business provides services, space and expertise supporting students of all majors to ideate, prototype, start or scale a concept or business, or learn about entrepreneurship and innovation. Within a class or independently, the Innovation Lab helps you Think It, Build it, Test It, Scale It.

Think It

From fostering creative problem solving to encouraging play and exploration, the Innovation Lab offers an opportunity for students of all majors to connect and spark new ideas.

Build It

Having an idea is only the beginning. The Innovation Lab offers a mobile makers studio to help students move from brainstorming to written, 2D & 3D prototyping to bring the idea to life in a tangible way.

Test It

Experience is the best teacher. The Innovation Lab offers proof of concept opportunities from surveys and focus groups to popup shops to discover insights and evidence to help refine, pivot or persevere with an idea.

Scale It

With testing complete, and ideas validated, it’s time to scale. The Innovation Lab offers 1-1 coaching, peer and business mentors, networking, pitching and funding opportunities to help move an idea forward.
