Adult Learning Programs

Butler University offers two dynamic and flexible programs designed to support educators at various stages of their careers. Whether you’re a new teacher, an alternative credential-holder, or looking to enhance your skills in early childhood education, we have a program to meet your needs.

Our Teacher-Led, Teacher Education program, offered through the College of Education and Executive Education, is tailored to help new and non-traditional teachers succeed in the classroom. Whether you’re coming from an emergency-permitted, alternatively credentialed, or long-term substitute teaching background, this program will equip you with the tools and knowledge needed to thrive.

Additionally, in collaboration with Early Learning Indiana and Butler University’s Office of Continuing and Professional Education (OCPE), we offer the Early Childhood Educator Certificate program. This innovative pathway is designed to enhance the skills of educators and support the development of early childhood centers, ensuring a strong foundation for young learners.

Explore both programs further to learn how we can help you advance your teaching career and make a lasting impact in the classroom.
