City Hound Interests
Study Abroad
Whether you have a specific destination in mind or are willing to explore pretty much anywhere, Butler’s study abroad and exchange programs can help you get there. Forty percent of Butler students study abroad before they graduate and with more than 300 programs in over 50 countries, it’s no surprise that so many Bulldogs travel the world.
University Program Council
If you’re passionate about planning events and exploring Indianapolis, you’ll find your place on the University Program Council. Students involved in this organization plan a variety of on-campus events such as blacklight Bingo and trivia nights, and also organize events off-campus such as trips to the Indianapolis zoo and local museums
Broad Ripple
Butler’s campus is conveniently near Broad Ripple, a neighborhood just two miles away. Broad Ripple offers networking opportunities, the Monon Trail, the Indianapolis Art Center, and housing options while having a good mix of city life and suburban activities. So whether you want to explore a new area or try out a coffee shop, Broad Ripple will provide you with lots of things to do.
Butler Arts and Events Center
Lovers of art need not go far to find inspiring performances, speakers, exhibitions, and more. The Butler Arts and Events Center is a destination for exceptional arts experiences that take place throughout the year. Situated at the gateway to Butler’s campus, it includes Clowes Memorial Hall, Schrott Center for the Arts, Eidson-Duckwall Recital Hall, and Lilly Hall Studio Theatre.
