Thursday, August 19 Fairview - Zoom Panel & Trivia 8:00 PM EST Virtual Follow the link shared in e-newsletter from 8/18, students can log on to ask any questions about Fairview house and play fun games. 
Sunday, August 22 Move-In Day @ Fairview 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Hinkle Fieldhouse Parking (Check-In Process); then Fairview House Students will check-in at the Hinkle Fieldhouse Parking Lot located at 510 W. 49th St. Indianapolis, IN 46208. 
Sunday, August 22 Sophomore Student & Family Lounge 2:00 - 3:30 PM Fairview House Community Room  Sophomores and their families are welcome to come and meet Butler Faculty, Staff, and Administrators. Refreshments will be served. 
Sunday, August 22 Welcome Home Picnic for First Years & Sophomores 5:00 - 8:00 Pm Marketplace @ Atherton Union (pick up food); take to the Atherton Mall and Clowes Mall Tents Bulldogs Meeting Bulldogs! Pick up dinner at the Marketplace @ Atherton Union (using your meal plan swipe) and eat in the Atherton Mall and Clowes Mall tents.

Thursday, August 26 Get Hired Fair 3:00 - 4:30 PM Atherton Union, Reilly Room Looking for an on-campus job? Come to this job fair to meet campus and community employers. 
Saturday, August 28 Battleship 10:30 AM - tournament concludes Health and Recreation Complex Pool Free event for students, sign up by emailing aquatics@butler.edu.  Battleship is an event where teams of four are in a canoe. Each team tries to “sink” the other team's boat by filling it with water before their boat goes under. The last boat floating will win the round. This tournament will be played in double elimination style.

GALA 2022: Latin America Information Session

GALA Latin America is heading to Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru - led by a Butler professor who serves as the Faculty Resident Director, approximately 20 students spend the semester traveling and taking courses in a region of the world. The Faculty Resident Director provides academic and student life advising and facilitates organized, guided tours to various locations and sites of interest. The GALA location changes every year to offer a unique experience to each group.

*No foreign language background is required!

Saturday, September 18 Unit Wars 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM Fairview House Each unit would select individuals to compete in different events. These events could include tug of war, video game war, Butler trivia, 2nd floor arcade games, just dance, etc. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place would be selected.

Emerging Leaders Vocational Fellowship 7:00 - 8:00 PM Center for Faith and Vocation (The Blue House Across Sunset Ave from Schrott Center for the Performing Arts)
  • Tuesdays (10/5, 10/12, 10/19, 11/2, and 11/9) 
  • Sophomores are invited into a conversation cohort to explore their roles as leaders while gaining four specific vocational skills: knowing your values, decision making, identifying mentors, and telling your story. The Fellowship consists of 5-small group conversations with the same group and short exercises.
