We know that where you learn influences how you learn. That’s why the Founder’s College campus environment is designed to support your well-being—academically, socially, physically, and emotionally—while you pursue your goals. 

Founder’s College is primarily located on Butler’s South Campus, a walkable distance from amenities such as Irwin Library, the Health and Recreation Complex (HRC), Career and Professional Success, and Butler’s new Commuter’s Lounge. Founder’s College is ideally situated for seamless commutes by car, bike, or public transportation.

Do I need to live on campus to attend Founder’s College?

Founder’s College is designed specifically for you to commute, so on-campus residency is not required. Transportation costs are covered for you, whether traveling by personal vehicle or public transportation. In between classes, you can choose from several options to study or relax, including Butler’s new Commuter Student Center lounge. 

Where can I find the services I’ll need on campus?

Everything you’ll need to help you succeed, such as financial aid, career services, and similar offices, will be centralized in the Founder’s College Commons for easy access and availability.

Will I have access to all of Butler’s campus amenities?

Founder’s College students enjoy all the same amenities and resources as students pursuing four-year degrees, including participation in campus events, student organizations, student governance committees, and intramural sports.

How does my meal plan work at Founder’s College?

A daily meal on campus will be provided for you at no additional cost.

Coming Soon: Marianne Glick and Mike Woods Founder’s College Commons

In addition to close integration with Butler’s Central Campus, renovations dedicated to Founder’s College and its inaugural class are in progress thanks to a generous $2.5 million gift from Butler alumna Marianne Glick ʼ73, MS ʼ74 and her spouse Mike Woods. These renovations, spanning over 9,000 square feet, include state-of-the-art classrooms, a dynamic social hub, convenient dining, and offices dedicated to student support and belonging.

To commemorate the couple’s philanthropic support of the Founder’s College mission and profound impact on communities across Indiana, Butler University has dedicated this central space for Founder’s College on Butler’s campus as the Marianne Glick and Mike Woods Founder’s College Commons. The Butler community looks forward to its opening in January 2025.
