Young Alumni Board
The Butler University Young Alumni Board is a dynamic group of recent graduates living and working in Central Indiana dedicated to strengthening current students’ university experience while fostering lifelong connections among alumni. Volunteers serve three-year terms, meeting regularly on campus to plan inclusive and engaging events that support Butler’s growing Bulldog family.
To effectively connect with and serve both existing students and graduates, the board is structured with three dedicated task forces focused on:
- Alumni Engagement: Building and nurturing relationships among graduates.
- Fundraising: Supporting Butler’s mission through financial contributions.
- Student Connections: Bridging the gap between current students and alumni.
Board member commitments include attending in-person quarterly meetings, actively engaging in one of the task forces outlined above, and continuously supporting university activities and initiatives.

Favorite Butler Memory:
I would say studying broad in Spain, but that was multiple memories lumped into one experience. If I had to pick a specific memory, it would be attending black light bingo (I did this every year). The energy in the room was high as each student anticipated getting a bingo. It was a great way to meet new people and/or spend quality time with your friends playing a competitive game (trust me, the students would get rowdy). I ended up winning a backpack and yoga mat throughout the 4 years I played. I would highly suggest all of the SGA events as they are free for students to attend and are fun!

I spend my free time entertaining my two kiddos and trying out new Indy bars and restaurants with my husband. I also run a small business on Etsy, I love to bake, and I indulge in bad reality TV as often as possible (sorry).
Favorite Butler Memory:
My favorite memory is traveling through Latin America in 2010 with the GALA study abroad program. I learned so many new things about the world and about myself, and I made some wonderful friends

My favorite Butler memory is all of the late-night game nights and chats with close friends at our dorm’s front desk when I was an RA- really spending any time with friends on/off campus. You can’t beat making memories with friends that will last a lifetime.

Going early to basketball games to make sure we got the best spot in the Dawg Pound. Any Xavier or Villanova games were always my favorite, especially if we could storm the court!

My favorite Butler memory was all of the late nights with my friends in the Student Government Office. So many exams were studied for, arguments settled, strategies dreamt up, and above all else, friendships made to last a lifetime laid their foundation in that office. One of my favorite memories was participating in Spring Sports with members of the organization!

Spring of Senior year was truly so special – savoring the very last bits of college with the best friends anyone could ask for. Our nights rotated between heated cornhole games on The Knoll, dinner at the Chatham patio, and walks through campus. Did someone say take me back?
